Amy Feiner is a Wellness Specialist, currently living in Maui, Hawaii. She recently received her yoga certification from Integral Yoga Institute. She incorporates Integral Yoga®, a form of Hatha Yoga into her classes and sessions.
Amy also received a certification from renowned yoga therapist, Sonia Sumar, of the Integral Yoga Institute, to teach yoga for children (specializing in children with special needs); in August of 2000.
Ms. Feiner presently is an early childhood special education teacher in Maui. She works one-on-one with children as a SEIT (Special Education Itinerant Teacher) at private schools, camps, or wherever she is needed. Amy has been doing this since 2001. She received her Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Michigan and graduated from New York University with a Masters in Special Education, specializing in Early Childhood Education.
Amy is also a certified Reiki Healer; Reiki is the sacred art of natural healing by the “laying on of hands.” A Reiki practitioner is able to channel this energy through his/her hands and into another person, animal, or any living object. As a result, blockages in the body are released, causing peace and healing. Amy has been practicing Reiki since April 2002.
Ms. Feiner has done extensive volunteer work with children, including working at the University of Michigan's Children's Hospital. She was a coach in the Team Management and Leadership Program, a yearlong training program at Landmark Education Corporation, which provides participants with advanced training in causing effective leadership through teams and teamwork.
